International Glycoconjugate Organization (IGO) Award for 2017

The International Glycoconjugate Organization (IGO) is accepting nominations of glycoscientists who have clearly advanced the field of glycoscience and show promise of continuing advancements. The award (US$4,000) will be presented at the XXIV International Symposium on Glycoconjugates (GLYCO 24) scheduled in Jeju, Korea, from August 27th – September 1st, 2017. The awardee will present his/her accomplishments at GLYCO 24. Free registration, accommodation and economy airfare will be provided by the Glyco XXIV conference.

Nominations should preferably be submitted as a single PDF file electronically (or alternatively as 6 hard copies) and should include the curriculum vitae with bibliography and supporting letter summarising in detail the accomplishments of the nominee. Institutional or self-nominations will not be accepted.

Young Glycoscientist Award for 2017

The International Glycoconjugate Organization (IGO) is accepting applications from early career glycoscientists who have advanced the field of glycoscience and show promise of further achievements. One award (US$1,000) will be presented at the XXIV International Symposium on Glycoconjugates (GLYCO 24) scheduled in Jeju, Korea, from August 27th – September 1st, 2017. The awardee will present his/her accomplishments at GLYCO 24. Free registration, accommodation and economy airfare will be provided by the Glyco XXIV conference.

Candidates should already have their PhD/DPhil, but may apply no later than 6 years after receiving their doctorate (in case of parental leave, this limit can be extended by up to two years per child). As a general guideline, candidates should have minimum of 6 papers as first, last or corresponding author in respected international journals.

Applications should preferably be submitted as a single PDF file electronically (or alternatively as 6 hard copies) and should include the curriculum vitae with list of publications, a letter summarising the accomplishments of the candidate and copies of his/her three most significant publications. A copy of the PhD/DPhil certificate and, if required, a certified statement regarding parental leave should also be included.
